Shawn is almost 7 years old! I cannot believe how fast that has gone. I remember the day I picked her up at CCI. She has been such a wonderful dog! The lives she has touched along with her puppies and grandpuppies, I am so proud of her!

Road Win!! (39/365)

Today our CSD JV team was on the road at Bentley in Layfette. The team played well and kept a positive attitude. With our tough defense we were able to steal the ball 32 times and collect 23 rebounds. I am so proud of this team!

Today we were teaching Self Defense in one of the PE classes. After the long process of getting this suit on (without directions!) I was ready to get kicked and punched!

Road trip to Oakland for the Bulls vs Golden State game! It was a surprise birthday present for Lisa, one of her favorite players is Derrick Rose.

Tonight the CSD varsity girls basketball team played at Fremont Christian. I went to film their game since they will most likely meet this team in the playoffs. I thought this field was really interesting. It is all astroturf and it has lines painted on the field for all the different sports.

Tonight the Kings did it, they BEAT LA!!!! We were also celebrating Lisa's birthday today since our dad was out of town for her actual birthday. Our grandparents made a surprise visit from Palm Springs! It was great, our grandma love her Kings and was dressed in purple and black. I put Donte's jersey on for the night and supported the Kings! Game day tomorrow at Arco, might have to bring out the jersey again :)

Today while at a CSD basketball game, I received the e-mail that I have been waiting for all week! Milano is rotating into team training!!! There are 11 graduates and 18 dogs, so anything could happen. Next Wednesday we will hear about pre-matches and then the following Wednesday final matches are made. Thinking good thoughts for Milano!!

There was a beautiful sunset tonight over the bay. I drove up the hill at Ohlone College after basketball practice to get this photo. I have been very busy the last few days with work and basketball, but I promise I will do better with my photo taking and posting. Yesterday our basketball team went to Healdsburg to play. We passed CCI and I thought of Milano who should be starting Team Training this weekend!! Graduation is February 11th! Thinking good thoughts for her.

This is my first year away from home and living out of a suitcase has been interesting. I just arrived in San Jose after what felt like a very long drive, but it is better than the 3 hour drive on Monday mornings. I work at the California School for the Deaf in Fremont, CA and go home to Sacramento every weekend.

CSD hosted the National Prep Deaf Wrestling tournament over the weekend. It was great supporting the athletes! I work in the Athletic Department and one of our classes is specifically for athletes, so it's nice to get out there and support!

Walking to dinner is always the perfect opportunity for a self-taken photo. We were getting ready to watch the national championship game between Auburn and Oregon. It was a great game! I fell asleep in the 3rd quarter due to the 4 hour time difference and the game starting at 9:30 pm, but I woke up for the exciting finish. Congratulations to Auburn on a great win!

Airport #3 5/365

Well here we are in Miami waiting for the 3rd and final flight of the day. We will finally be landing in St. Maarten after leaving our house at 4:10 am. The flight gets in tonight at 9 pm. I've slept on the flights and enjoyed flying first class, it is the best! Just learned that St. Maarten is 4 hours different in time from California.

Post game thoughts: I really do not understand this coach. Kings down by 20 in the 4th quarter, Donte finally checks in and they get within 5! Something needs to change.

So far my 365 project has not been that exciting, but it goes along with how I am feeling. I have been on this couch for 5 days now and I am really looking forward to feeling better!

P.S- There is no picture for me on January 1st as I was home with the flu and 105* temperature after working at my high school teams basketball tournament over winter break. Unfortunately 7 of the players and now 3 of the coaches are ill. It'll definitely be a New Years to remember.
